National Recycling Week!

National Recycling Week may shine a spotlight on sustainability, but looking after the planet is a year-round mission. That’s why so many of your favourite stores offer easy, convenient recycling schemes, helping you clear out clutter, support charities, and reduce waste, all while you shop. From fashion to furniture, tech to toys, here’s how you can make a positive impact next time you visit The Forum Shopping Centre… 👇♻

CeX

CeX offers a tech recycling scheme where you can trade in unwanted gadgets, games, and electronics for cash or store credit. Items can be sold in-store or via a free home collection service, helping to reduce electronic waste. If an item is rejected, you can choose to have it returned or recycled, ensuring it doesn’t end up in landfill. By selling, reusing, and recycling tech, CeX helps customers contribute to a more sustainable future while getting value from their old electronics. 💻🎮

Costa

Recycling your used coffee pods at Costa is simple. First, ask a barista in any Costa store for a pod recycling bag. Each bag can hold up to 75 pods, whether plastic or aluminium. Once it’s full, simply seal the bag and drop it off at any store. Costa will then send the pods to be sorted and recycled, keeping them out of landfill and giving the materials a second life. ☕✨

F. Hinds

F. Hinds will buy your broken and unwanted jewellery to be recycled, giving precious metals a second life. Before heading to the store, you can use their handy online calculator for a free scrap value estimate. In-store, you’ll receive excellent rates for cash, or an even higher value if you opt for an F. Hinds Gift Card, with up to 50% more than the daily cash price. It’s the perfect way to part exchange old pieces for something new, while ensuring valuable materials are reused responsibly. 💎💛

New Look

New Look is making it easy to shop sustainably and support great causes. By donating your pre-loved clothing and accessories to your local Hospice UK shop, you’ll help fund vital care, keep items out of landfill, and receive 15% off your next New Look shop. And it’s not just fashion, if you’ve bought a new electrical item from New Look, you can also recycle your old one for free in-store within 28 days under our Electronic Take-Back Scheme. Together, these initiatives make it simple to refresh your wardrobe, upgrade your gadgets, and protect the planet all at once. 👗🤳

Savers

Savers is helping customers reduce waste with in-store battery recycling drop-off points and a WEEE-compliant takeback service. When you buy a new electrical item, like an electric toothbrush, Savers will recycle your old one free of charge on a like-for-like basis. It’s a simple way to keep hazardous materials out of landfill and give valuable components a new life, just ask in-store for details next time you shop. 🔋⚡

Specsavers makes it easy to give old eyewear and accessories a new purpose. You can bring your unwanted glasses and cases to your local store, where they’ll be recycled free of charge.
