It feels like only 5 minutes ago the kids went back to school after the Summer Holidays, but the evenings are getting darker and the leaves turning crisp, so that spells one thing; October Half Term is approaching. With colder days and longer nights it can be hard to think of things to keep the kids occupied. But thankfully it’s 2019 and Netflix is brimming with more films and TV series’ than ever. So we’ve rounded up a mixture of new and old films readily available on Netflix to binge watch with the kids.
1. Spy Kids
Give the kids a look back at the kind of Spy we aspired to be before real life Technology kicked in.
Whether your kids are older or younger, this is a touching film for the whole family to enjoy. Inspired by Mexico’s Day of the Dead Festival, it’s a heartfelt animated musical telling a story of what we pass through generations. A great watch for this time of year.

Comical, easy to watch and relatable to all the dads looking after their kids this half term.
Casper the Friendly Ghost will be sure to get the kids in the Halloween spirit.

6. A Cinderdella Story
A classic fairy-tale brought to life. The perfect watch for a girly night in.
7. Monster House
Keeping in line with the time of year, Monster House is a gripping, easy to watch comic thriller that gives a genuine fright whilst staying in PG grounds.
8. Nanny Mcphee
She comes when she’s needed but not wanted and leaves when she’s wanted but not needed. The kids are sure to love Nanny Mcphee’s mystical ways and learning her 5 lessons.
9. Tall Girl
A Netflix Original film about.. yes you guessed it a tall girl. An uplifting romcom about self acceptance, an easy watch for an afternoon in.
