Bourne Creatives host ‘spooktacular’ workshops this October half term

Bourne Creatives is delighted to announce its spooktacular week of Halloween workshops, taking place inside The Forum Shopping Centre from Tuesday 27th October until Saturday 31st October. Local families are invited to attend the week and take part in all the ghostly goings on.

Bourne Creatives recently opened its pop-up creative hub for local artists to display their work at The Forum Shopping Centre and offer various workshops during the week for children and adults to attend.

The line-up for the half term spooktacular is as follows:

•           Tuesday 27th from 10am until 12pm

Printed Designs – design a tablet stand for just £5. Shoppers get the chance to design multipurpose stands suitable for iPads, Kindles, mobile phones and other technical devices.

•           Wednesday 28th from 10.30am until 3pm

Halloween arts and crafts workshop and pumpkin sculpting tuitions with Nikki Baker and Karen Crosby (pumpkins not provided and workshop is only available to people over 14 years old).

•           Thursday 29th from 10am until 3pm

Start the day with a cd scratching workshop which involves participants painting an old cd and scratching Halloween artwork into the cd to hand as decorations followed by a 'decorate a mini top hat' workshop with expert tuition from Mr Tip-a-Hats in the afternoon.

•           Friday 20th October from 1pm until 3pm

Halloween arts and crafts workshop to make Doctor Who monster.

•           Saturday 31st October from 10am – 4pm

Coat Hanger Ghosts workshop (10am – 12pm) Face painting and a pumpkin carving competition (1pm – 3pm). The centre will also be hosting a Safe Trick or Treat event from 11am, inviting children to spot posters in selected shop windows. Once they spot the poster they can then go in store to pick up their free treat.

Monica Rana, Centre Manager of The Forum Shopping Centre, commented:

“We are thrilled to have Bourne Creatives’ spooky Halloween event happening in the shopping centre and it coincides nicely with our Safe Trick or Treating event on Saturday 31st October. All local families and shoppers are invited to attend any number of the spooky workshops taking place in the week and we can’t wait to see the creations made.”

Please contact Nikki at Bourne Creatives for all times and prices of each activity.
