The CSI: Sittingbourne conservation laboratory has been in Sittingbourne for more than 6 years and is having a Roman Seasonal Saturnalia at the Forum Shopping Centre, Sittingbourne on Saturday 12th December between 10am – 4pm, to celebrate highlights of local Roman discoveries in Kent over the past 6 years.
It is a great opportunity for people living in or passing through Sittingbourne to explore and learn about some exciting, recent archaeological discoveries!
......then close your eyes and let your imagination run away with you!
Also on the day, CSI: Sittingbourne has teamed up the Swale Art Forum (SAF) to hold a drop in Fundraising workshop for children at SAF’s creative hub (located inside the Forum near to entrance from Sittingbourne High Street). Local artist and volunteers will be supporting children in the creation of their own - to take home - Roman mosaic pictures!
The drop-in workshop will be held between 11am – 4pm and costs: £3 for a single child or a discounted price of £5 for two children. All proceeds raised will be donated to CSI: Sittingbourne laboratory to assist the upkeep of this valuable, local archaeological facility.
