F.Hinds and The Forum thank shoppers for fundraising generosity
Staff at F.Hinds and The Forum Shopping Centre are delighted to announce that a whopping £535 has been raised for The Sittingbourne Blind Fellowship thanks to the generosity of their shoppers.
The money raised for the charity follows a month long competition held within the Sittingbourne F.Hinds store as well as donations received from the Blind Awareness Day on Saturday 27th September.
The jewellery store’s competition, which offered shoppers the chance to win a plethora of prizes including a stunning 9ct Gold Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring worth £750 and pair of 9ct gold and diamond heart earrings worth £150, came to a close this weekend.
The centre’s sponsored charity, The Sittingbourne Blind Fellowship, attended the Blind Awareness Day to coincide with National Eye Health Awareness week. Alongside them were the The Guide Dogs for the Blind – accompanied by adorable puppy guide dogs!
Doreen Goodwin, Chairman for The Sittingbourne Blind Fellowship, commented:
“We are so grateful to F.Hinds and The Forum Shopping Centre for their incredible support. Money raised from events and campaigns such as these goes towards paying for trips out for our members of the club and general day to day running of the fellowship. I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at F.Hinds, shoppers that took part in the competition and everyone that donated on Saturday.”
Centre Manager of The Forum Shopping Centre, Rachel Jenman, added:
“It is very important to support local charities such as The Sittingbourne Blind Fellowship and I am thrilled with how much has been raised for the charity. Our shoppers are incredibly generous and I would personally like to thank everyone that has donated to this wonderful cause.”
