On Saturday 21st January The Forum Shopping Centre hosted a very special Fresh Start Fair to help kick starts shoppers’ new year’s resolutions.
Local community groups, businesses and services including local NHS stop smoking service, weight consultants, recruiters and local sporting groups were on hand to help give residents an insight into their services and to encourage shoppers to continue their 2017 resolutions.
Sarah Martin, Stop Smoking Service Manager from Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, commented:
“There are around 300,00 smokers in Kent alone, last year our Smoking Service helped 3417 people kick their habit! Hosting a stall at The Forum Shopping Centre was a great way to raise awareness of out fantastic services and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day!”
Monica Rana, Centre Manager at The Forum Shopping Centre, added:
“With over 10 local businesses appearing at our Fresh Start Fair the day was a real hit. I hope that everyone who attended found it insightful and that it helped them to continue their new year’s resolutions. We have many more community events taking place over 2017, shoppers can keep up to date on our website."
