Help save a life with The Forum Shopping Centre

The Forum Shopping Centre is delighted to announce that it will be teaming up with St John Ambulance on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th March to host a free Save a Life event.

During a series of short sessions between 10am and 4pm, shoppers of all ages are invited to the centre where they will take part in essential first aid training including how to administer adult and infant CPR, how to stop choking, how to identify a stroke and how to stop bleeding.

As well as live first aid demonstrations throughout the day, St John Ambulance’s training sessions will also offer guidance and advice for those wishing to volunteer for the charity.

Up to 150,000 lives in the UK could be saved every year if more people had basic first aid training. According to a survey commissioned by St John Ambulance, 59% of people wouldn’t feel confident enough to perform first aid with 24% saying they wouldn’t do anything and instead wait for an ambulance to arrive. 1
