The Forum Shopping Centre is delighted to announce that representatives from Kent Fire and Rescue department and St John Ambulance will be making an appearance at the centre next month at help shoppers understand the importance of fire safety during bonfire night.
From Friday 3rd November until Sunday 5th November, as well as handing out information about their free seminars, workshops and networking events, Kent Fire and Rescue will be parking one of their fire engines outside* The Forum to talk to shoppers and engage with local children in a fun yet educational way.
The community’s emergency service provider will also be on hand giving Sittingbourne shoppers the opportunity to learn all about the importance of fire safety during bonfire night.
Representatives from St John Ambulance will be making an appearance throughout the two days giving shoppers the chance to ask any questions they may have about what to do when dealing with a burn or scald. It’s reported that every year, around 1,000 people visit A&E with a firework related injury in the four weeks around bonfire night (1).
