‘You are my sunshine’ wins Mother’s Day song competition at Kent Shopping Centre

We are delighted to announce that Barbara Wallbank has been chosen as the winner of our special Mother’s Day competition.

The competition invited Kent shoppers to share their mum’s favourite song, on The Forum’s Facebook page, to be in with the chance of winning a prize.

Dee Morgan nominated her mum as she has fond childhood memories of the song, ‘You are my Sunshine’. She said:

“Our family’s favourite song has always been ‘You’re my Sunshine’. My nan sang it to mum when she was a child and it’s been passed through the generations ever since. Sadly, Nan has now passed away and mum has always said it reminds her of great times they had together.”

As the winner of the competition Barbara won a fantastic Mother’s Day carvery for herself and her family at The Coniston Hotel, Sittingbourne.

Monica Rana, Centre Manager at The Forum Shopping Centre, commented:

“We hope that our winning mum had a wonderful meal at the Coniston Hotel. We love rewarding our loyal shoppers and I would like to say thank you to everyone who entered our competition. I hope The Forum’s loyal shoppers all had a wonderful Mother’s Day and I look forward to announcing our next exciting competition soon.”
