Children will learn about how some Roman period Egyptian mummies were decorated - with elaborate linen wraps and gilded/painted masks. Dana will explain her experience with making a lifesize mummy and visiting tombs in Baharia, Egypt for a channel 5 television programme "Golden Mummies Tomb opening Live", 2000.
Workshop participants will learn how specialists study mummies and the ancient materials that go into making a 'Golden Mummy'. Dana's TV replica mummy will be residing in the CSI lab for Halloween week
