The Forum Shopping Centre offers shoppers support with New Year’s Resolutions
The Forum Shopping Centre in Sittingbourne will be hosting a New Year’s Resolution Day on Saturday 10th January.
From 11am until 4pm, community groups, charities, fitness clubs and other local companies will be on hand to help shoppers choose that all important yearlong promise to themselves.
Whether it is giving up smoking, starting a new hobby or losing weight, the centre’s New Year’s Resolution Day comes a few weeks before ‘Fail Friday’ which falls on Friday 23rd January. This is when a majority of New Year’s resolutions are most likely to be broken.
A study conducted with online shoppers on the website FreeDeliveryLand.co.uk revealed that only three per cent of people keep their resolutions for the full 12 months and that most would have usually given up after three and a half weeks.
Rachel Jenman, Centre Manager of The Forum Shopping Centre, commented:
“It can be incredibly difficult to keep to a new year’s resolution and we hope that by offering this event to our shoppers it will not only help them choose one which could help improve their lives, but also give them the opportunity to meet those that can help them stick to it.”
Shoppers are reminded that there will also be an opportunity to take advantage of a free NHS health check on Friday 9th January between 10am until 2pm.
