The Forum Shopping Centre in Sittingbourne is delighted to announce they will be hosting a wonderful programme of festive entertainment and activities for shoppers and their families this Christmas.
Featuring giveaways, face painters, arts and crafts sessions, choir performances, and of course special visits from Santa and his elves, the programme - known as Santa Saturdays - will launch on Saturday 26th November and run every Saturday until 17th December.
The fun starts on Saturday 26th November when, from 10am until 4pm, the big man himself will be at the centre to meet with children.
There will also be a free festive arts and crafts table available for youngsters throughout the day where they can create Christmas gifts for their loved ones before watching Sittingbourne towns official lights switch on at 6pm.
The festivities continue on Saturday 3rd December as local estate agents Family Homes will be in the mall with Santa from 11am and providing a free craft table and face painter during the day to transform children into their favourite Christmas characters including Santa’s cheeky elves and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
On Saturday 10th December, from 11am until 3pm, not only will Santa be at the centre again but The Forum will also be teaming up with Demelza Hospice Care for Children to host its very first choir-a-thon. The day will see local school pupils singing Christmas classics helping to spread festive joy to shoppers buying seasonal essentials.
To round up Santa Saturdays, The Forum will be welcoming St John’s Ambulance to host a very special Christmas themed ‘Save a Life’ event on Saturday 17th December from 11am until 3pm. In the last decade the number of Christmas ambulance service calls has increased by more than 1.3 million (1) so St John’s Ambulance will be offering lifesaving advice to local families, whilst giving them the opportunity to take part in a series of short workshops. Even better, the first 50 visitors to the St John’s stand on the mall will receive a Save a Life first aid kit filled with free first aid essentials.
Santa will also be at The Forum on the 17th for his final appearance before jetting back to the North Pole for his busiest week of the year!
The centre’s festive arts and crafts table will also be available every Saturday for youngsters to create Christmas gifts for their friends and families.
