The Forum Shopping Centre presents Sittingbourne’s unsung hero with special prize

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, The Forum Shopping Centre recently launched its “Sittingbourne loves…” campaign which gave local shoppers the opportunity to nominate the Sittingbourne resident they felt had the biggest heart.

The centre is delighted to announce that Marc Dawkins was chosen as the winner after his daughter Daisy Dawkins, chose to nominate him for his outstanding commitment to the community.

Daisy Dawkins, commented:

“We were over the moon when we found out that Dad had been chosen as the winner of The Forum’s ‘Sittingbourne Loves…’ campaign. Having risked his life not once, but twice, to help a family from a burning building, as well as rescuing a colleague before a piece of heavy machinery fell on him, I truly believe he deserves to be recognised for his help around Sittingbourne. I would like to say thank you to the team at The Forum for choosing him.”

Monica Rana, Centre Manager at The Forum Shopping Centre, commented:

“It was a real treat to meet with a true unsung hero of Sittingbourne. Marc’s commitment to helping others in our town is wonderful. Not only has he saved lives on two separate occasions but he also struggles with a severe back injury so I’m thrilled we were able to present him with a variety of wonderful prizes.”
