The Forum celebrates Sittingbourne community
In celebration of the community of Sittingbourne, and following the success of its previous event back in March, The Forum Shopping Centre held another Community Activity Day on Saturday 16th August.
Throughout the day, residents were able learn more about the activities, groups and charities in the Sittingbourne area such as Rotary Sittingbourne Club and Weight Watchers, who all attended the event to speak with visitors about their latest projects and news.
Creative minded shoppers were also able to learn more about Sounds Familiar, a successful local band as well as a Sittingbourne based art group.
Rachel Jenman, Centre Manager of The Forum Shopping Centre, commented:
“There is a very strong sense of community in Sittingbourne and our Community Day is always a fun and fantastic way to get in the spirit and celebrate it! The day provided lots of entertainment for all the family, as well as the opportunity for local residents to discover more about the great variety of activities, leisure pursuits and special interest groups that are available to them right on their doorstep.”
