Sittingbourne wished the Queen a happy birthday

On Saturday 11th June the residents of Sittingbourne were invited to a royal birthday party at The Forum Shopping Centre to celebrate the Queen turning 90.

Throughout the day visitors to the Sittingbourne based shopping centre were treated to a whole host of royal themed entertainment activities including walking balloon corgis, a British themed cake decorating station and a face painter. Shoppers were even able to meet and greet Sittingbourne’s very own Queen look-a-like.

To add to the royal celebration retailers at The Forum Shopping Centre showed their support to Her Majesty’s 90th birthday by offering cupcakes and facts about Queen Elizabeth II. What’s more Cancer Research UK also got involved by hosting charity raffles and fun children’s games.

Monica Rana, Centre Manager of The Forum Shopping Centre, commented:

“Thank you to everyone who attended our royal birthday party, it was a truly fantastic day. I would especially like to say a huge thank you to our Queen look-a-like, Amy, who looked amazing and posed for photographers all day. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and I hope the Queen had a lovely birthday.”
