Winner announced for Mother’s Day competition

The Forum Shopping Centre in Sittingbourne is delighted to announce that local resident Gill Foster has been chosen as the winner of its Mother’s Day competition.

The competition invited Kent shoppers to share their most heart-warming, funny and tear-jerking memories of their mums on The Forum’s Facebook page. Gill was selected as the winner after she shared this lovely story of her mum Rose:

“My favourite memory is when my mum looked after all of us six children. Bathing, feeding, dressing and generally making sure we were all ok. My mum is amazing. She will be 80 this year and is a carer for her husband. She has problems of her own but her first thought is to make sure he is ok. She’s a real trouper and says "you just do what you gotta do". Luv my mum so much. Go mum - I hope I’m as strong as she is.”

As the winner of the competition Gill won a fantastic Mother’s Day carvery for mum and her family at The Coniston Hotel, Sittingbourne.

Monica Rana, Centre Manager at The Forum Shopping Centre, commented:

“We loved reading all the wonderful memories that our shoppers shared with us and we were thrilled with the number of responses we received. We hope that our winning mum Rose and her family have a wonderful meal at the Coniston Hotel and a well-deserved day of relaxation. Thank you to everyone who got involved and we hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day.”
