Throughout the May half term youngsters to The Forum Shopping Centre were invited to follow in the footsteps of their favourite pirates and search for hidden treasure.
Everyday, in celebration of the new Pirates of the Caribbean film, Dead Men Tell No Tales, children were invited to hunt for pirate themed posters hidden around the centre. Once they successfully spotted a poster they were invited to collect their gold by popping inside the store to receive a free treat.
On Saturday 3rd June, the centre invited little shoppers to dress up as their favourite pirate character and join its swashbuckling walkabout pirate on the hunt for his treasure. The pirate was also on hand to help complete the children’s looks by handing out free themed balloon models.
For Sittingbourne teenagers, The Forum hosted an exciting ‘X Marks the Spot’ competition, which invited them to snap a selfie with the centre’s giant hidden ‘X’ before uploading it to its Facebook page to be in with the chance of winning a £10 voucher from many of its retailers.
Monica Rana, Centre Manager at The Forum Shopping Centre, commented:
“Half term activities are often very expensive for families which is why here at The Forum we pride ourselves on being able to offer free fun for locals. Sittingbourne teenagers really got stuck in with our selfie competition and I hope our winners enjoy spending their vouchers courtesy of our retailers!”
